"Had the best weekend away in Dartmoor with Alice and a lovely group of women from the adventure girls club. The trip was so inclusive, really well planned and good fun. I feel really confident to do some solo wild camping after the informative weekend and looking forward to doing another hike with the adventure girls club."

Alice Keegan
Founder & CEO
Alice founded the club in 2022 after years of feeling out of place in the outdoor community. She wanted to create a softer antidote to the extreme, goal-oriented, ego-centric attitude to the outdoors. Alice is also a qualified mountain leader and loves sharing her love for the outdoors with women who lack the confidence to go themselves.
Melissa Schubert
Mountain Leader
Mel is a Rock Climbing Instructor and Mountain Leader, passionate about building a community, working with people to expand their potential, and engaging in all things adventurous in beautiful green and blue spaces.
She loves being part of empowering events for women and is grateful to promote these as part of her career in the outdoors. In her free time, Mel enjoys beautiful walks, adventure, and wild swimming with friends, often adding bookshop stops, cafe visits, and good food along the way.
Fitness and ability
Here at The Adventure Girls Club, we try to make our events as inclusive as possible. However, due to the wild nature of this adventure, some hiking experience is necessary. Our goal is to ensure everyone's safety and to provide all guests with the best possible experience.
To book onto this trip, you must:
- Be able to walk on uneven terrain, including rocky paths and boggy ground
- Be able to walk with a heavy backpack for a couple of hours
- Own appropriate kit for the hills (waterproof coat and trousers, hiking boots, warm layers).
The walking involved on this trip is fairly easy; we will be walking for a couple of hours and may have a few gentle hills. We always take it slow on our hikes and ensure no one gets left behind.
If you have any worries or concerns about if you are fit or experienced enough to come on the trip please email us hello@theadventuregirls.club and we can advise.
