"Thank you again for organising such a wonderful weekend [...] I really love how you've created a space that embraces all types of women, no matter their backgrounds, age or fitness levels. It really shows through the snippets of chats I had with many of the ladies over the weekend, how each one of us was searching for something like TAGC and in finding it, we are thrilled to be surrounded by such strong resilient women encouraging us to be our best selves!"

Itinerary

Friday 23rd May

Welcome and settle in

Arrive at our exclusively booked independent hostel any time from 4pm onwards.

The first evening is just about settling in, meeting the other women and getting into 'switching off' mode for the weekend.

Tea/coffee and biscuits are available on arrival but aren't included on the Friday evening. You can book dinner in the hostel and pay them directly, use the microwave at the hostel or grab dinner en-route.

8.30am - Leave for day hike - Elidir Fach and Elidir Fawr. We will have 2 qualified Mountain Leaders to lead us on a challenging hike up to Elidir Fach and Elidir Fawr, one of the best-underrated hikes in the national park. We will start this hike straight from the hostel.

We like to take it nice and slow on our TAGC hikes so no one is left behind. There is the option to split into 2 groups if the paces dictate so.

7pm - Dinner. Sit down to a filling and nutritious dinner at the hostel—home-cooked options which can be pre-ordered and cooked fresh by the hostel owners.

Alice Keegan

Founder & CEO

Alice founded the club in 2022 after years of feeling a bit out of place in the outdoor community. She wanted to create a softer anti-dote to the extreme, goal orientated ego-centric attitude to the outdoors. Alice is also a qualified mountain leader and loves sharing her love for the mountains with women who lack the confidence to go themselves.

Megan Endean

Midlands Ambassador

Megan is a Mountain Leader, currently based in the Midlands but grew up in Devon. Her hobby (obsession!?) with being outdoors started with her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh and she's never looked back since. She's passionate about improving accessibility to the outdoors, and aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment to all.
